PalioApp now offers real-time functionality

PalioApp 2.0 will consist of three parts: Cavalli 2025, Palio del 2 luglio 2025, and Archivio. The app is available for free and can be downloaded from PalioApp.com

In Cavalli 2025, you can filter the list of horses registered this year by Protocollo, Previsite, Prove di Notte, and Tratta. These sections will be updated as information becomes available. You can also filter the list to show only experienced horses.

The Palio of July 2, 2025 section replaces all the elements that users could manually enter in previous years. From this year on, this task will be handled by the admin. This means that the Presentazione and Batterie will be filled in before the start of the batterie.

The Assegnazione and Prove will be added after the end of the assegnazione, and the Prove will be updated during the four Palio days. The final page in this section, Ordine di Ingresso, works the same as in previous years and can still be manually completed by the user to consult the starting order.

The last section is the Archivio, which contains four pages. On the Contrade page, you can click on a contrada to view an overview of all Palios it has participated in since 1925. You can filter the list to show only the Palios it has won.

On the Cavalli and Fantini pages, you get an overview of everyone who has raced in at least one Palio since 1925. By clicking further, you can access an information page about the selected subject. On that page—as everywhere in the app—you can also click on dates, contrade, fantini, and cavalli for more details.

The final page we offer is Elenco delle Vittorie, where you can view a list of all victories. The search bar lets you filter by year, fantino, cavallo, or contrada. Just like the rest of the app, you can click on dates, contrade, cavalli, and fantini from 1925 onward.

Additionally, with the “Altri filtri e ricerche” (Other filters and searches), you can apply extra filters to the list. For example, you can select a custom time period between two years, filter by contrada, Straordinari, Rinviati, or Cappotti. All these filters (even multiple at the same time) are activated using the VAI button.

Finally, a brief word about the App’s homepage: it will adapt before and during the Palio days. Right now, you can find the list of horses admitted to the protocollo. Once the list of horses admitted to the tratta is available, that list will be displayed. After the assegnazione, the page will update again. From then on, the accoppiate will be visible. These will be updated in case of any changes.
